Stephanie Schaefer is the Director of Communications & Public Relations at Raincross, helping organizations develop clear messages, identify credible stories, and communicate effectively with the audiences they need to reach.

With more than two decades of experience, Stephanie has worked across public agencies, private companies, and nonprofit organizations. That range has given her experience communicating with very different audiences and navigating organizations where the right message must be both understandable and credible.

At Raincross, Stephanie works across public relations, media relations, messaging, and content strategy. Her work includes helping clients determine what is genuinely worth communicating, developing the narrative around announcements and initiatives, preparing content for external audiences, and supporting outreach to journalists and other third-party sources.

She also works closely with Raincross's strategy and visibility disciplines. As search engines and AI platforms increasingly rely on authoritative third-party information to understand organizations and topics, communications, earned media, and content have become more connected. Stephanie helps ensure that those efforts begin with accurate information and useful stories rather than manufactured claims or publicity for its own sake.

Her approach to communications is grounded in clarity. Whether the audience is a journalist, customer, stakeholder, community member, or broader public, Stephanie focuses on finding the most direct and effective way to communicate what matters and why.

Stephanie is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside. Outside of Raincross, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their basset hound, Barney.
